Excellent option for families as you get a big, tastefully furnished apartment with a big living room, kitchen, wc downstairs and 2 rooms with 2 bathrooms upstairs. Stepping out of the living room and you are already at swimming pool. If you hire a car or motorbike you can easily explore the island. 2 swimming pools, fitness, nice garden, very friendly and helpful manager (Henrik), free tuk-tuk service to the beach and back, fast WI-FI.
Location, although if this resort would be on the beach the price would be at least 5x as much.

Professional staff. Huge well-equipped apartment, nice pools, gym, nicely landscaped.
Some minor irritations such as blocked drains and blocked a/c filters. Broken window catches.

Esa the receptionist tried to make the very best of a bad situation, she could have not been more helpful in what must have been very challenging conditions. She had no support from her management (see below) Also the accom was clean and quiet.
I wanted to come to Koh Samui to have a change of scene but also work fulltime. I therefore emailed the resort manager Henrik to make this clear on the grounds I needed completely reliable internet. He confirmed this was the case. What he did not say the was the accoodation does not have its own generator (no electric = no internet). The island was without electric for a week, which admittedly doesnt happen often, but I was also not told that the government 'ration' the electric and cut spplies for periods on daily basis. When electric lost for a week there was family staying there with smal kids, the wife also pregnant, 1 week no electric, light and even water for some time. They could not move bcos the hotel were unable/unwilling to give them partial refund so they could find hotel that had its own power supply via gas generator, must have been terrible for them. 2/3 of the way thru, we found another hotel with its own power. The Park manager not only remained unwilling to talk to us (Esa was told to tell us he was on holiday) but he also did not want to refund us any of the money we had paid! Even tho he misled us and hs hotel had already been without supply for a few days when we moved. On the final day Esa came to our new hotel with cheque sgned by Henrik (proving he wasnt on holiday) but if we had not fought for it with Esa help, I am sure The Park management would have kept all our money. I think that with the prices they charge they should have their own power, and tell anyone willing to book that they do not. This is a major thing in Koh Samui esp during monsoon season where the central supply is lost regularly.
